When ResNexus entered the market in 2004, RezOvation was the most dominate solution on the market. Over the years, RezOvation has decided to sell. RezOvation, over the years purchased Guest Tracker and Webervations. In 2013 RezOvation was acquired by HomeAway. HomeAway was then purchased by Expedia.com in 2015. In late 2018 RezOvations was purchased yet again by a company in Europe called Eviivo. Eviivo has decided to migrate all of it’s RezOvation users to the Eviivo software platform.

ResNexus was created in the in "the cloud" before most people knew to even call it the cloud. ResNexus was one of the first cloud-based online booking engines and property management software systems. We continue our tradition of innovation by continually enhancing ResNexus with benefits such as seamless websites, built-in POS, automatic marketing, dynamic pricing, channel management, credit card processiong, and more.

In a letter to clients announcing the migration to Eviivo, RezOvations stated that they "had functionality and features missing" that their customers have needed and expressed that eviivo keeps up with the hospitality industry. The bottom line is that RezOvation is no longer being developed and is instead actively migrating it’s customers over to Eviivo.

When in comes to shopping online, the more visual the experience, the better. ResNexus showcases your rooms beautifully with pictures 2-4 times bigger than Rezovation.

RezOvation pictures are often much smaller than ResNexus. But depending on the version you use they might be as little as a 1/2 inch in size.

Right from the start your guest can see what they want to see—your rooms! If there is no vacancy then the guest can quickly select the 3-month calendar and see when the room is available.

Like most booking engines, RezOvation requires you to enter a date before your guest can see any rooms. Depending on what you are doing, RezOvation may ask you to enter dates multiple times or show a grid filled with "X’s".

It’s important to set clear guest expectations that protect your property. That’s why ResNexus clearly displays your policies before payment is required.

For guests to view all your policies in RezOvation’s booking engine they must click on a link. This leaves you at a disadvantage for chargebacks and guest expectations.

RezOvation has great support videos and has a highly trained staff. However, the overall system only has a 3 star average rating.

RezOvation does not give customers the option to leave reviews on Google and Facebook.

ResNexus can connect to hundreds of marketing channels including Booking.com, Expedia and TripAdvisor. Our marketing channel commission rate is 1%. Direct connections to Booking.com, Expedia, and AirBnb are also available and reduce costs even more.

RezOvation has direct connections to Expedia, BedandBreakfast.com and HomeAway. A direct connection between RezOvation and Booking.com is not an option.

ResNexus helps prevent a bad experience from happening again by allowing you to ban a guest. Whether they book online or call in to your business, ResNexus reminds you that the guest is on your naughty list.

Rezo does not have a Banned Guest Feature.

ResNexus helps you outperform your competition by using automatic yield management and sliding rates. RezOvation Web does not indicate whether or not guests have visited your property before unless you do a manual guest search.

ResNexus gives you more control over when your guest arrives and departs with Guest Restrictions. Prevent Saturday Arrivals or require that your guests stay till Monday. With ResNexus, you are in control.

RezOvation Web does not have guest arrival or departure restrictions.

The ResNexus Professional Edition comes with a point of sale system which makes selling retail items on-site a breeze.

RezOvation Web does allow you to sale retail items online, but only ResNexus gives you an On-site Point of Sale with inventory limits.
