ResNexus vs Sunrise

Marketing Channels like Expedia, Booking.com, AirBnb charge anywhere from 6-30% per online reservation booked through their directories. ResNexus doesn’t charge reservation fees for bookings from our online booking engine. We help businesses collect more commission free reservations and increase their return guest rate.

In addition to their monthly subscription, Campground Automation (Sunrise) charges $3.50 for each reservation taken through their online booking engine. Sunrise’s booking engine is also a directory called CampLife which is similar to Expedia, Booking.com and AirBnb.

ResNexus Essentials and Professional Editions includes free setup, data import and support. In addition, we don’t charge to import your data into ResNexus. Our map builder technology allows you to use your existing map. However, if you would like ResNexus to build a map for your property, our maps start at $499 for 50 sites and then $10 per additional site. The maximum that we charge for a map is $2,500.

Sunrise charges your business a $1,000 to $3,200 implementation fee to get your property setup. They do provide an interactive map as part of this fee.

If your guest accidently closes the browser window or gets interrupted—no problem—Cart Abandonment allows you to collect potential guest information such as name, email, and phone number and encourage them to complete their reservation. This allows your business to collect even more potential revenue.

Campground Automation (Sunrise) doesn’t offer built in cart abandonment tools.

Manage your business on your terms by using your CURRENT credit card processor. Our software works with any credit card processor so that payments are processed and seamlessly funded to your business bank account. There are no additional fees from ResNexus to process credit cards.

Campground Automation (Sunrise) only supports Vantiv and Jetpay. If you don’t have an account with those two payment processors then you will need to switch.

ResNexus can provide your business with a mobile-friendly, SEO optimized, ADA compliant website for only $80 per month and setup fees start at $299. Includes hosting, security, and initial design! Most website companies charge anywhere between $2,500 to $5,000+ to initially build your website. But for a limited time only, our highly trained website designers will design and optimize your new ResNexus website without any additional charge. The best part is that your ResNexus Website automatically updates your rates, policies and more—saving you even more time and money.

Sunrise doesn’t offer website services.

The ResNexus booking engine is easy-to-use and is fully customizable. In addition, the ResNexus Team makes sure that your online booking engine matches your current website, whether it is provided by ResNexus or not. That means when potential guests go to reserve a site, they don’t feel like they are being sent to a different looking website. In addition, all reservations that come through the ResNexus online booking engine are commission free.

Sunrise allows limited customization of their booking engine to look like your website. You can change colors and add your property’s logo. However, if you choose to be listed on Campground Automation’s (Sunrise) marketing channel CampLife–that is what is branded instead of your property. The CampLife directory shows your competitors and can leave your guest wondering why they were moved to another website with a different logo. Why teach your potential guests to go to a directory like AirBnb to finish booking with you? It could lead to a decrease in return guests.

ResNexus was designed with your campground guests in mind, because we know that if your guest has a great shopping experience your business will increase revenue. That’s why the ResNexus booking engine shows your sites or map right from the start–a unique benefit that helps your business increase reservations. Your booking engine is your virtual store—immediately show your guests what they want to buy.

Campground Automation (Sunrise) allows your business to have many required fields and won’t show any inventory until you complete them all. This can disrupt the natural shopping process. Filling out seven or more required fields might be convenient for your business but could be viewed as a hassle by your guests. In addition, a brightly colored count down clock pressures the customer throughout the process.

During the booking process you can offer retail items, specials or packages in an intuitive and eye-catching way. Retail items can give your business thousands of dollars in more revenue and enhance your guests stay. Your policies stand out because ResNexus uses a simply step by step progression throughout the reservation process.

Sunrise retail items look similar to sites and can easily get overlooked during the checkout process. In addition, Sunrise requires the guest to click to view your policies, terms and conditions. Making your potential guest hunt for the policies can slow down the booking process. Sunrise requires your guest to click and agree to your policies whether they have read them or not.

Campground Automation (Sunrise) uses self assessment to determine their PCI compliance. Any software that records, inputs or collects credit card data, whether tokenized or not, should have a qualified 3rd party audit their system and procedures.

ResNexus displays your top retail offers and specials to potential guests right from the start. All your retail items are shown once the guest selects a campground or site.

Sunrise doesn’t have retail sidebars. As mentioned previously, all your retail items, specials and packages are camouflaged with your site selection.

ResNexus developed our innovative automatic yield management capabilities in late 2013. ResNexus increases your revenue by automatically changing your rates based on occupancy. In addition, your property also can require the guest to stay a minimum number of nights. ResNexus makes it easy to set daily, weekly and monthly rates.

Sunrise does not offer automatic yield management. Sunrise does have minimum nights restrictions and daily, weekly and monthly rate options.

ResNexus connects to a wide variety of marketing channels such as Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor in a couple of ways. However you choose to connect to your marketing channels, ResNexus has an option right for your business. We also offer direct connections to Booking.com, Expedia, and AirBnb.

Sunrise created its own marketing channel and directory called CampLife. It does not let you connect to other marketing channels and directories such as Booking.com, Expedia, and AirBnb.
