ResNexus can provide your business with a mobile-friendly, SEO-optimized, ADA-friendly website for only $40 per month and setup fees starting at $499. This includes hosting, security, and initial design! Most website companies charge anywhere between $2,500 to $5,000+ to initially build your website. This service saves time and reduces the number of vendors that your business has to call and coordinate with.
Firefly Doesn’t Provide Website Services
Firefly Reservations provides a booking link that can be added as a button on your existing website, but does not provide a service to build a stellar website tailored for your property.
ResNexus Has a Variety of OTA Options
ResNexus helps your campground get found and get booked by integrating directly with OTAs such as Booking.com, Airbnb, TripAdvisor and Expedia, as well as Spot2Nite, The Dyrt, Glamping Hub, HipCamp, and BookOutdoors, which are campground-specific marketing channels that accept tent and RV sites. In addition, ResNexus has a unique direct connection to Vrbo that does not use ical. This helps prevent double bookings from having to manually enter in reservations from Vrbo. ResNexus has commission-free pricing options to connect to the OTAs. This means that your business has zero additional commission fees charged by your PMS software.
Firefly Integrates with a Small Number of OTAs
Firefly Reservations automatically connects client campgrounds to ReserveAmerica, the OTA associated with its parent company Aspira. These bookings come with a 10% commission in addition to the $3.50 reservation fee. Properties may choose to disconnect from ReserveAmerica in the settings. Firefly also integrates with Airbnb and RV Parky.
ResNexus Is a Preferred Partner with Expedia and Airbnb
ResNexus achieved Preferred Partner status with both Expedia and Airbnb for building and maintaining a quality integration with these world-class marketing channels. This means ResNexus offers powerful features and capabilities built into the PMS system from these providers.

Right from the start your guest can see what they want to see: your campsites and units! If there is no vacancy then the guest can quickly select the 2-month or more calendar and see when the unit is available right from the start. Your guest doesn't have to guess what dates are available.
Firefly Requires Dates First
Firefly's booking engine starts with a landing page that does not show your units until arrival and departure dates are selected. In addition, the main calendar does not show which dates are unavailable. The guest can click on a "view availability calendar" link that does show availability. However, the availability calendar does not add dates when clicked and disappears when you try to enter the dates into the main calendar.
ResNexus Protects Your Business From Last-Minute Cancellations Due to Illness, Adverse Weather Involving Rain, and Other Travel Delays
With ResNexus Travel Protection, you can protect your business from revenue losses from last-minute cancellations due to illness, adverse weather involving rain/snow and other travel delays including cancelled flights or vehicle breakdown. Your guests can simply select the Travel Protection option during the booking process, and if they cancel for one of the protected reasons, both you and your guest will be reimbursed 100% of the booking cost minus the travel protection fee.
Firefly Does Not Integrate with a Trip Protection Service
Firefly does not integrate with or provide a trip protection service. That means if a guest cancels, you’ll only have your own cancellation policies to fall back on.

With ResNexus, potential guests can see your top retail offers and specials right from the start. All your retail items are shown once the guest selects a site—something many of our competitors copied from us. In addition, your guest can choose to shop by special first and the ResNexus Online Booking Engine will guide the guest to select the qualifying dates and units.
Firefly Shows Add-ons After the Unit Selection
Firefly also shows add-ons or retail items after the unit is selected. Unlike ResNexus, Firefly does not allow the guest to shop by special or package first and then select the unit.
ResNexus Has a Browser-Based Guest Portal
The ResNexus Guest Portal allows guests to check in, check out, message your staff, view reservation details, and more! The best part is there’s no app required. All the guest has to do is click the link or scan the QR code, then input their reservation and phone number!
Firefly Has a Web Page for Kiosks and Guest Portal
Firefly also provides a mobile Guest Portal solution, as well as a kiosk URL for guests to use a tablet or computer you’ve set up in kiosk mode on your property. Firefly allows guests to make a reservation from the kiosk.

This is particularly important for high-demand units and classes such as glamping tents and cabins. As mentioned before, if there is no vacancy on the main calendar, then the guest can click on the date field to see a 2-month or more calendar that shows future availability.
Firefly Does Not Have Individual Unit Landing Pages
Unlike ResNexus, Firefly does not provide individual landing pages per unit or class that show availability. When booking from a map Firefly provides a popup for the unit selected but not an individual landing page.
ResNexus Has Built-in Cart Abandonment
If your guest accidentally closes the browser window or gets interrupted—no problem—Cart Abandonment allows you to collect potential guest information such as name, email, and phone number and send automated, customizable emails to encourage them to complete their reservation. These automated emails happen within minutes of the guest not completing their purchase. In addition, another email is sent a couple of days later. This gives your business the potential to collect even more revenue without you having to lift a finger.
Firefly Does Not Offer Cart Abandonment

Firefly Has No Banned Guest Functionality
In Firefly Reservations, you can add guest notes in your system to indicate campers who have a history of bad behavior, but there’s no way to automatically bar them from making bookings at your property.
ResNexus Travel Protection Can Save You Time When Managing Last-Minute Cancellations
In the event the guest cannot make their reservation due to a wide variety of reasons including illness, adverse weather, and other travel delays, they can apply for a 100% booking reimbursement any time up to 14 days before the departure date or up to 30 days after. The automated Travel Protection refund portal looks like your online booking engine and helps reduce the headache of managing the administration of refund processing. In addition, much of the refund or reimbursement process is automatically handled by ResNexus on your behalf. This reduces back-and-forth phone calls or emails with the guest during the cancellation process. The automated Travel Protection portal also lets the guest reschedule and change dates if necessary.

With ResNexus, in most cases you can use your current credit card processor; there is no need to switch. In addition, we offer ResNexus Payments which can match your current rate. Firefly Has Limited Credit Card Processor Options
Firefly's credit card processors are BridgePay and BASYS. If your processor doesn’t work with those two options then your campground will need to switch.
