Cloudbeds thumbnail pictures are smaller than the thumbnail pictures on ResNexus. Both ResNexus and Cloudbeds let the guest click on an additional link to view larger pictures.
ResNexus Uses Easy Steps & Intuitive Shopping
ResNexus was designed with your guest in mind, because we know that if your guest has a great shopping experience your business will increase revenue. ResNexus uses simple step-by-step progression with room selection, multiple rate types, retail offers, policy agreement, and payment information. In addition, your guest has the option of shopping by special or package first and then selecting the room–a ResNexus-only feature!
Cloudbeds Shows Missing Requirements
The Cloudbeds Booking Engine does alert the guest if special or package requirements are not met. However, unlike ResNexus the Cloudbeds Booking Engine doesn't help the guest fulfill the special or package requirements through an automated wizard. In addition, your guests are not permitted to purchase add-ons or retail item upsells until after they have purchased a room and entered credit card information.
With ResNexus Your Retail Items Stand Out Throughout the Shopping Experience
During the booking process you can offer retail items, specials, or packages in an intuitive and eye-catching way through side bars. In addition, your guest is shown your add-ons again after they select the room and before payment is collected. Your guests can simply select the Travel Protection option during the booking process, and if they cancel for one of the protected reasons, both you and your guest will be reimbursed 100% of the booking cost minus the travel protection fee.
Cloudbeds Does Not Integrate With a Trip Protection Service
Cloudbeds does not currently provide a limited warranty trip protection integration. If a guest has to cancel last-minute due to illness or health condition, your property must fall back on your own cancellation policies, which could result in a loss of revenue depending on the strictness of your terms and conditions.

ResNexus can connect to a wide variety of marketing channels including Booking.com, Expedia, and TripAdvisor. Direct connections to Booking.com, Expedia, and Airbnb are also available and reduce costs even more. In addition, ResNexus has a unique direct connection to Vrbo that does not use ical. This helps prevent double bookings from having to manually enter in reservations from Vrbo. Both ResNexus and Cloudbeds have commission-free pricing options to connect to the OTA's. This means that your business has zero additional commission fees charged by your PMS software.
Cloudbeds Offers a Wide Variety of Direct Connects

Cloudbeds Lets the Banned Guest Make a Direct Online Booking
Unlike ResNexus, the Cloudbeds Booking Engine does not allow you to ban a guest from making a direct online reservation. In Cloudbeds, when you disallow or ban a guest you are notified in the Cloudbeds back office if a guest makes a direct online booking. Then you or your staff will need to manually cancel that banned guest booking.

ResNexus Travel Protection Can Save You Time When Managing Last-Minute Cancellations
In the event the guest cannot make their reservation due to a wide variety of unforeseen illnesses or health conditions, they can apply for a 100% room reimbursement any time up to 14 days before the departure date or up to 30 days after. The automated Travel Protection refund portal looks like your online booking engine and helps reduce the headache of managing the administration of refund processing. In addition, much of the refund or reimbursement process is automatically handled by ResNexus on your behalf. This reduces back and forth phone calls or emails with the guest during the cancellation process.
