How do I make a long-term reservation?
Making a long-term reservation with Reservation Nexus follows the same guidelines as any other reservation. For a refresher on how to take a phone reservation click here. Or you can direct the guest to your Online Reservation System to book a long-term reservation provided the room is available. Is there a less time-consuming way to book a long-term reservation instead of clicking on each date on the 3 month calendar?Select the start date of the long-term reservation on the 3 month grid  
If the room selected cannot be booked for the number of nights you selected, then it will show up at the bottom of the ADD ROOM page with an x next to it. There are several reasons why a room may not be available. It may have already been booked or a guest may have booked online before you. Always check on the 3 month grid   Otherwise, click   How do I group together revenue specifically so that my reports will show all revenue generated from long-term reservations?Some innkeepers make most of their revenue from long-term reservations and want to see how much of their revenue is generated from long-term reservations versus short-term reservations. This is easier if you don't offer a lot of retail items. What you will need to do is create a retail item and then add that retail item to long-term reservations when they are booked. Log onto Reservation Nexus and go to Settings -> Retail -> "Add Retail Item". Name the retail item something like Long-term Reservation or Monthly Reservation. Leave the price box empty and unselect the taxes. Click   Then when you book a guest by phone or a guest books a long-term reservation online you just have to add the retail item to the reservation. You can do this from the Guest Summary page when you open any guest reservation. If you have already opened a guest reservation click on the blue Retail tab on the right hand side of the page. Click on Once you add this retail item, the additional price will be added to the guest's payments. It will be up to you to charge the guest for the room price only. For an innkeeper who takes a lot of long-term guest reservations, this shouldn't be too time consuming. Now when you log onto Reservation Nexus and go to Reports -> Revenue: Retail.
