How do I block out rooms?

  If one of the rooms absolutely can't be occupied because it is being repaired or remodeled, click "Repair" instead of "Block" so that this room isn't added to your Room Occupany Report.

You can block out rooms on Reservation Nexus to hold a room temporarily and keep it from being available to book online. It also makes it so the room is easily converted to a reservation.

Once you log into Reservation Nexus go to Reservations -> Rooms. You should be familiar with this page. The reservations grid displays all room reservations three months at a time. Click on the dates of the rooms you want to block out and a green check mark should appear.

Then click on the "Block" button above the calendar and a yellow-orange "X" will appear where you've clicked.

If you want to unblock a room, or several rooms at once, click on the date of the room you want to unblock and the BLOCKED ROOMS page will appear.

When you block out rooms together, you can also unblock them all at once on this page. Select the individual rooms and dates you want to unblock and then click "Unblock". Click "Unblock All" to release all of the rooms. Or you can easily convert the blocked room to a reservation by clicking the room and dates you want to reserve and then clicking "Convert To Reservation".

Click "Return" to go back to the reservations grid.
