Advanced Security![]() IP Lock Down / NotificationsReceive e-mail notifications when staff log into Reservation Nexus offsite. You can also lock down Reservation Nexus so staff can only log in at established locations. Background ChecksPCI compliance requires that anyone working with credit cards to have a background check. Reservation Nexus now asks if staff members have had a background check. If not then credit card access is automatically switched so that staff member can't view any credit cards within Reservation Nexus. Deleting Credit Cards More AggressivelyPCI compliance asks that we only keep credit cards around as long as necessary. While very vague, the principal is sound. Reservation Nexus has two settings with regards to storing cards. The default is to only store cards up to 30 days after a guest has departed. Intrusion DetectionBeing the most popular real-time solution means from time to time there are entities that try to scrap your availability via Reservation Nexus. It can cause slowness and is an invasion of privacy. This year one of our projects (Availability Exchange) will allow legitimate entities access to your Reservation Nexus availability if you grant them permission. Reservation Nexus has built-in intrusion detection where if it thinks malicious behavior is going on the guest will need to confirm that they are human. Continued suspicious behavior can result in a permanent ban. |
